Fitness Center
As a Ginnie Mae employee, you are eligible to utilize HUD’s fitness center and the following services to help you reach your fitness goals:
The Children's HouseAs a Ginnie Mae employee, you are eligible to utilize HUD’s nationally accredited child care center located within Headquarters.
Metrochecks (Transit Subsidy Plan)
As a Ginnie Mae employee, you are eligible to take part in HUD’s Transit Subsidy Program, designed to promote the use of mass transportation for employees who commute to and from work.
Health Unit
As a Ginnie Mae employee, you are eligible to receive Health Services through the HUD Health Units located in the Headquarters building and in the HUD Field Office Occupational Health Centers.

Annual Leave
An employee may use annual leave for vacations, rest and relaxation, and personal business or emergencies. An employee has a right to take annual leave, subject to the right of the supervisor to schedule the time at which annual leave may be taken.
Sick Leave
Sick leave is provided to Federal employees for:
Medical, dental, or optical examination or treatment;
Incapacitation because of physical or mental illness, injury, pregnancy, or childbirth;
To provide care for a family member;
Must be absent from duty for purposes relating to his/her adoption of a child; and many other reasons.
