Ginnie Mae is planning to provide a new HMBS Platinum Pool Stratification Record related to Rural Area data. This record will provide investors with pool level aggregate information about the extent of participations and UPB dollars that are associated with loans identified as being in rural areas, based on the US Department of Agriculture Rural Urban Commuting Area Codes. The new Stratification Record (Type 14) will be added to the HMBS Platinum Pool Supplemental File, “hplatmonS_YYYYMM.zip." The file layout, Version 2.2, is effective December 1, 2024 and is attached. Record Type 14 will be included in the Monthly Portfolio File only and will not be in the Daily New Issuance files.
