2021-048: Removals History Now Available in Disclosure Search for MBS SF Pools
Published Date: 8/16/2021 8:30 AM

Ginnie Mae strives to make robust data about our mortgage security products and programs accessible to investors and the public. Toward that objective, the Disclosure Data Search function has been enhanced with a new Removals History view for MBS Single Family securities. This screen displays aggregated historical liquidations data organized by Removal Reason and listed for every year and month since pool origination. Site users can copy or print the data from this view, as they would from any other Disclosure Data Search screen.

Instructions to access:

From the Disclosure Data Search home screen, enter a Pool ID or CUSIP # for any MBS Single Family security into the Single Class/Multiclass Securities Search bar. Once the Summary screen for that pool has rendered, navigate to the Removals dropdown menu on the left sidebar. After expanding the Removals dropdown list, select the ‘Removals History’ link second in the list.

From the Removals History screen, the following features enable a more granular view of the data:

  • Click on the Year or Month column headers to sort the data by year or month. Clicking the header a second time reverses the sort order.
  • Click the ‘+’ sign in the leftmost column for each row to expand the breakdown of Removal Reasons for each month.
  • Click the filter icon in the top right corner, adjacent to the ‘New Search’ button to activate the filters functionality. Data can be filtered by Year, Month, or both.
  • Click the filter icon with a red ‘X’ to clear the filters and restore the full dataset.
