Ginnie Mae is providing investors and the public with Single-Family Low to Moderate Income (LMI) Borrower charts. These charts are based on the monthly portfolio disclosure supplemental file data.
The LMI data provides pool level aggregate information about the number of underlying loans made to LMI borrowers, the percentage of LMI loan count of total loan count, the unpaid principal balance (UPB) of LMI loans in the mortgage-backed security (MBS), and the percentage of LMI UPB of total MBS UPB. This additional visual display of data makes comparisons easier and promotes a better understanding of trends in Ginnie Mae's disclosure data. The LMI data provides information for the current month and the previous 12 months. The new charts include:
- LMI Borrower Share of the Outstanding SF Portfolio
- Percentage of Loans in SF Pools that are to LMI Borrowers
The latest LMI borrower charts can be accessed by selecting Disclosure charts > ESG from the menu of the page.
