Ginnie Mae is planning to provide a new HMBS Pool Stratification Record related to Rural Area data. This record will provide investors with pool level aggregate information about the extent of participations and UPB dollars that are associated with loans identified as being in rural areas, based on the US Department of Agriculture Rural Urban Commuting Area Codes.
The new Stratification Record Type 14 record will be added to the HMBS Pool Supplemental File, “hmonthlyS_YYYYMM.zip.” The file layout, Version 5.2, is effective October 1, 2024 and is attached. Record Type 14 will be included in the Monthly Portfolio File only and will not be in Daily New Issuance files.
A test file will be provided in September 2024, and the first production HMBS PORTFOLIO – POOL SUPPLEMENTAL file containing Record Type 14 will be provided on the Disclosure Data Download page on October 8th (September 2024 monthly).
