In Disclosure Bulletin 2018-046, Ginnie Mae announced additions to its Platinum Collateral Disclosure Files, “platdcoll.txt” and “platcoll_YYYYMM.txt”: Two new data fields are being added to the end of the “J” Record.

This bulletin is to inform of the following:

• A final Platinum Collateral layout is attached. Additional field length was required for the percentage in Field 18: Field 18 had previously been length 5, format 9(3)v9(2). Now the length is 7, format 9(3)v9(4). The total length of the “J” record is now 108 (from 106).
• The field names and definitions for Fields 17 and 18 have been clarified. The purposes of the fields are to provide the amounts and percentages of the pools in a Platinum Pool as of the current month.
• A monthly Platinum Collateral test file (with May 2018 data) is now available on the Disclosure New Release Test File Download page. It contains data per the Platinum Collateral layout, version 1.3 (final).

The attached Platinum Collateral File layout, version 1.3 (final), will be effective August 1, 2018 for August New Issuances and July Monthly (published in August). There is no change to the Release Schedule for this file, and the files will continue to be published on the Disclosure Data Download Files page.
