President Ted Tozer and President Shinya Shishido signed a joint Memorandum of Understanding

On January 9, 2014, Ginnie Mae President Ted Tozer and President Shinya Shishido of the Japan Housing Finance (JHF) Agency signed a joint Memorandum of Understanding at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, Washington D.C.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) is a formal recognition by Japan marking JHF’s long-tenured and significant participation in our Ginnie Mae securities program. By signing this MOU, Japan Housing Finance Agency is formalizing the commencement of an ongoing relationship with Ginnie Mae. This is the first intergovernmental Memorandum of Understanding Ginnie Mae has signed with an international partner. Japan’s financial institutions have significant holdings of Ginnie Mae securities that in total support in excess of 1 million U.S .homes funded through the Federal Housing Administration (FHA), the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), the Office of Public and Indian Housing (PIH) and the Department of Agriculture’s Rural Development Housing and Community Facilities Program (RD).  Please click on here to view the video of President Ted Tozer and President Shinya Shishido.
