Background Investigation
To ensure the accomplishment of our mission, Ginnie Mae requires every employee to be reliable and trustworthy. To meet these standards, applicants must successfully complete a background investigation and maintain standards of conduct. Failure to meet these requirements will be grounds for termination.
Once you’ve completed and submitted your background investigation paperwork to the HR Representative, s/he will let you know when you’re able to submit an online application within the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Electronic Questionnaires for Investigation Process system, known as e-QIP. The link below provides general information about the process.
Once you complete your e-QIP application, an investigator from OPM may conduct a background investigative interview with you. The investigator may also interview your current and previous work associates and neighbors.
