Ginnie Mae Statutes

Ginnie Mae is a government corporation. As a part of government, laws passed by the United States Congress and signed by the President of the United States govern its conduct.

The statutory authority of Ginnie Mae is derived from Title III of the National Housing Act, 12 U.S.C. 1716 et seq.

Ginnie Mae Regulations

Ginnie Mae is a government corporation. As part of the government, laws passed by the United States Congress and signed by the President of the United States govern its conduct.

As a government corporation, Ginnie Mae and its program are also governed by a set of regulations. These regulations are published in the Code of Federal Regulations at Title 24, Part 300-310.

Updates to Guides and Requirements

Ginnie Mae notifies participants of periodic changes in guidelines and requirements through All Participants Memoranda (APM), Multiclass Participants Memoranda (MPM), and changes to the guides.
